Testimonials
The Burton Blatt Institute at Syracuse University, via our Southeast ADACenter project, is honored to partner with Cares to disseminate reliable information on the rights older adults and people with disabilities have under the Americans with Disabilities Act and other disability rights laws. We share the values of Cares to advance the well-being, self-determination and community living for older Americans with disabilities.

When I think of the Cares team I think of one of my favorite quotes, “If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together”. For as long as I have worked with MFP (2016), I have known of Linda and Cares. Cares have been very instrumental in the success of many MFP initiatives and transformational in the lives of the recipients, with projects such as Rethinking Guardianship. We are thankful for such a collaborative partnership and could not do the transition work that we do without the consistent support and collaboration of the Cares team!

NC Money Follows the Person
The UNC Cares team has a unique way of bringing their system change expertise to others, resulting in truly long-term benefits to adults with disabilities, or dementia, and the professionals working to improve their own effectiveness in helping. I have collaborated with UNC CARES in several projects, and consider them an essential resource for NC and beyond.

Cares is a valued partner because they deliver products that are of the highest quality in a field that is typically underserved by higher education. And they deliver it with the principles and values the Division is committed to.
